The purpose of the current study was to explore the impact of social media on relationships during emerging adulthood. According to previous research, social media can be a source of jealousy, conflict, and need for control in romantic relationships. Additionally, young adults are more likely than older adults to report that the internet has had an impact on their relationships. In this pilot study, I used a qualitative research design and interviewed six individuals from three couples via Zoom video conferencing. This study examined three hypotheses. This poster will present the results of this pilot study.
