Abstract:
This summer, I investigated several publications by Dr. Jennifer Eberhardt from the Psychology Department at Stanford University. Dr. Eberhardt’s research draws on existing research to arrive at new discoveries in the fields of sociology and psychology. Her research provides insight into the flaws of our justice system and the existing racism in the United States. Through investigating her work, I learned the importance of using research to inform people of real-world problems and to provide possible solutions to those problems. Her work has shown me how one can interconnect academic and career goals with personal goals to foster immense change.
