Most of the current lung diagnosis techniques contain radiation; moreover, methods such as the CT scan-guided lung biopsy are invasive. Effective Bulk Modulus Elastography (EBME), however, uses ultrasound to create a visual of the lung using its reciprocal properties and can analyze the mechanical properties of the lung. It minimizes the potential of harming the patients and the need for an invasive test. To validify results from the ultrasound technique, we have done testing on bio-printed samples that closely resemble the native healthy and diseased lungs. The validity of this technique is crucial to diagnosing lung diseases efficiently.
