Abstract:
Modifications are proposed to an existing antihydrogen gravity experiment configuration for use at the CERN Antiproton Decelerator facility to determine the directionality of the acceleration of antihydrogen in Earth's gravitational field. The optimization process seeks to minimize the number of antiparticles required for experimentation via Classical Trajectory Monte Carlo simulations programmed in Wolfram Mathematica. The most recent improved model incorporates the use of concentric cones and achieved great success, yet oversimplifies the antihydrogen as a point-source. We seek to expand this into a finite, spherical source and then suggest the introduction of apertures to minimize the number of antiparticles required for experimentation.
