The UNT Honors College Global Scholars Community is for incoming freshman students
who are interested in studying world events through an interdisciplinary residential
learning experience. This community will provide Honors College students with the
opportunity to live with a community of like-minded students in Rawlins Hall and share
intellectual experiences through coursework and co-curricular programming. Students
will engage in a variety of activities both on and off campus, ranging from guest
speakers, film series, to language exchanges with other students from around the world.
Students from any major are welcome to apply for the Global Scholar Community, but
they must be admitted to the UNT Honors College for the Fall 2024 semester and make
the following commitments:
- Live in Rawlins Hall for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 academic year.
- Participate in assigned programming. There is no extra cost to students associated
with this element of the program.
- Work with other members of the Global Cohort to host special programming during the
spring semester.
- Enroll in the following Honors Courses during their first academic year:
- HNRS 1100: The Good Society (Fall)
- HNRS 1000: First Year Semester (Fall)
- INST 2100: Introduction to International Studies (Spring)
- Participate in Global Scholars Study Abroad Experience to Dublin, Ireland in Summer
2025

for the 2024/2025 academic year, please complete the interest form located through
the link below. Space is limited in this program, so we encourage interested students
to complete the form early to be eligible. Decisions for the cohort will be made by
