Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs), monolayer semiconductors with atomic formula MX2, have been of particular interest since the discovery of their direct band gap structure. Of this group, a material with specific interest is Molybdenum Disulfide, MoS2, due to its particular band gap structure in phononic k-space. By studying the optical-dynamics of the material influenced by the coupling of excitons, electron-hole pair quasiparticles defined as a subset of electromagnetic polaritons, we will be able to understand the interaction between MoS2 and photons, allowing us to make strides towards optoelectronic devices.Poster:
