By staying on the frontier of Neuroscience research, Dr. Gottlieb puts herself in the position to design studies that reveal meaningful information about unknown functions. With regard to the progression of study within the articles, Dr. Gottlieb first researched the general mechanism by which the lateral intraparietal area integrated visual stimuli, then addressed individual effects that modulate the oculomotor system processes within the LIP brain region. Dr. Gottlieb’s work in the seven articles I reviewed significantly contributed to the neuroscience community by uncovering extensive areas of unknown LIP functions, leading her colleagues toward a greater understanding of the brain.
