Abstract: 
An oversaturated market of athletic shoe choices and brands can complicate purchase decisions for some consumers. Consumers are likely to utilize user generated content (UGC) online product reviews during their search process. A perceived risk of making a purchase mistake may motivate consumers to read UGC online reviews which may ultimately influence purchase decisions and post-purchase satisfaction. Satisfaction may influence a consumer’s decision to post a positive or negative UGC online review.
