Over the course of 10 weeks, I had the opportunity of exploring a number of articles published by Dr. Paul Krebsbach. Dr.Krebsbach's articles focused on the cell and molecular biology of mineralized tissues and the renewal of adult and pluripotent stem cells. In his research, he concluded that mitotically expanded bone marrow stromal cells can be used to repair craniofacial skeletal defects in mice without growth or morphogenic factors. By learning the effects of Bone Marrow Stromal Cells, Dr. Krebsbcah was able to branch off and study different factors such as pH and growth factor, VEGF on bone regeneration.
