Abstract:
Pesticide residue on food crops have varying detrimental health effects on humans. Therefore, the solute exchange process between plant cuticles and pollutants needs to be better understood. To investigate the degree of plant cuticle pollutant uptake, the versatile Abraham computational model can be utilized. In this case, the model can be used to predict the partition coefficient (absorption rate) between different plant species’ cuticles and compounds. This experiment aimed to calculate correlation equations of greater accuracy to help researchers investigate the uptake of pollutants by plants, and to prevent the high costs and time consumption required by experimental data collection.
