Scholars Day Paper/PowerPoint Presentation

Students applying for the paper/PowerPoint will fill out this application by March 7, 2024. Any oral presentation that includes a paper, PowerPoint, Prezi, Digideck, or similar will use this application. You will not receive a confirmation email. However, students should screenshot the pop-up confirmation that occurs once the application is complete. Students should save this for peace of mind rather than contacting the coordinators.

  1. Presentations are given verbally.  Students will have approximately 10 minutes to present their research.
  2. Only the abstract is needed for the application. Papers/power points, etc. are not required until the event.  Students do not need to provide a printed copy of their research paper.  The oral presentation is sufficient.  For PowerPoint, please bring your presentations on a thumb drive.  Laptop with projector is provided.
  3.  Authors of accepted oral presentations will receive notification of presentation times and logistical information by March 26.
  4.  If presenting a paper/Power Point, etc. and a poster, students will fill out two applications.
  5.  You may not present with others. If you have been working with a team, your Scholars Day entry must show your individual contribution to the project even though your overall presentation may show the team project.
  6.  Following Scholars Day, the papers may be submitted for publication in UNT’s electronic journal of undergraduate research, The North Texas Journal of Undergraduate Research (formerly, The Eagle Feather).  Full papers will be needed at this time.
  7.  All presenters are invited to the poster presentations at Scholars Day on April 2nd at 2:30pm and the reception at 3:30pm. The multiple raffles will be held starting at 2:30pm. Raffle winner must be present to win.
