January 18, 2017: Resilience and Persistence in Graduate Education Session

Dr. David Rivera, a McNair alum and currently associate professor of counselor education at Queens College, City University of New York, will lead an interactive session to explore resiliency attributes McNair Scholars can use to support persistence on the march to the Ph.D. See more information about the session ­here.

December 23, 2017: The Research Apprenticeship of the Graduate Student Panel

UNT leading researchers will discuss the expectations they and their colleagues have of new graduate students and their research component of graduate education. Panel members will discuss topics such strategies successful graduate researchers use to balance coursework, research, lab time, and the other responsibilities of a graduate student.
